Cruise To Cabo San Lucas

I love cruising. My first cruise was in 2000 to celebrate my 40th birthday. My husband and I took our two children to Ensenada on a Royal Caribbean ship. We went with our best friends and their two kids that were about the same age as ours, so everyone had a wonderful time. Ensenada was nothing extremely special, but the cruise was so much fun that it didn’t really matter where we were going – it was just a blast. We stayed in the cheapest rooms, the ship was pretty old, the entertainment was fun and the food was pretty good. I think the best part about the trip was whom we spent the time with, but it was also a good way to see if we were cruisers – and we decided that we were!
In 2004, my husband and I took the Diamond Princess cruise ship to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. This was the most amazing trip. The Diamond Princess was new that year, and was touted as the biggest ship on Princess’s fleet. We both felt like we had died and gone to heaven for the whole seven days. It was just the two of us this time and pretty much like a second honeymoon. Cabo San Lucas is by far the best of the ports. We walked the shore, shopped, ate at a sidewalk cantina and just had the best time ever. We did not bother with a window cabin this time, and weren’t overly disappointed that we made this decision. However, we will opt for windows or balconies from now on.
I think anyone who is wondering if they would enjoy cruising should try the Princess cruise to Cabo. It is a very memorable place.
